Behind the brand

Optik Oldschool is a professional film lab based in Düsseldorf, Germany. They originally specialized in C-41 color and black-and-white film processing.

In June 2025, they launched OptiColour 200, the first in-house film in the brand's history, marking a milestone in their transition from a "Processing Lab" to "Film Manufacturing." From emulsion coating to packaging, the entire roll is 100% made in Germany.

What's special about it?

This film is more than a simple rebrand- it’s a relatively rare emulsion that has been reintroduced to the market. Moreover, the 120 version is exclusively offered by Optik Oldschool.

Color Performance

OptiColour 200 is mainly about natural tones, while offering quite pleasing performance in greens, reds, and skin tones. If you like colors that aren't too exaggerated but still have a distinct film look, this roll might be a good fit for you.
