【Rollei 35 RF】with Rollei Sonnar 40mm f2.8 HFT lens is a mechanical Leica M-mount 35mm rangefinder film camera. The die-cast aluminum body and grey rubber coating not only give a premium looking, but also comfortable handling feel. I would say excellent experience is contributed by reasons of:
①Vertical-travel laminar metal focal-plane shutter delivers crispy shutter sound and touch.
②Good ergonomics as rapid wind lever, shutter release button and shutter-speed dial are adjacent to each other, also the grippable rubber coating on right side.

③Highly precise coincidence-type viewfinder for pin-point focusing, allows you to observe and adjust focusing area clearly. There’s under/over exposure warning mark acts as reminder. Incidentally, Rollei 35 RF is using center-weighted TTL average metering.
④Frameline selection (40/50/80) for matching the focal length of your lens. A bright-line frame will appear in the viewfinder then parallax will be corrected based on the selected frameline.

💡 Sonnar 40mm f2.8 HFT lens (Rollei Germany): HFT stands for “High Fedility Transfer” which is a co-developed multi-layer anti-reflection coating system. It gives ideal focal length for both indoor and outdoor shooting, and on top of that, you can obtain cinematic images as a result of awesome light transmission, vibrant color and pleasing bokeh.
