Candidio 200 (Daytime outdoor, Wanting to capture portraits with scenery)
ISO 200 (Candido 200) is the surprise standout of this lineup. It has the finest grain and the smoothest, most even contrast.
When shooting people, the skin tones come out with a subtle, gentle warmth—not an exaggerated orange-red, but that comfortable, pleasing yellow tone reminiscent of classic Kodak Gold.
Highlights don't blow out abruptly; on overcast days shooting outdoor portraits, skin transitions look very natural, with no need for heavy post-processing or retouching.
Candido 400 (Street photography, Snapshots, Indoor & outdoor shooting)
At ISO 400, this film hits an absolute sweet spot / perfect balance point. The contrast becomes higher (more pronounced), the grain stands out more noticeably, and the colors gain a truly authentic yet poetic vitality and depth.
For street photographers or documentary shooters who love the "one camera, one roll" approach (committing to a single stock per outing), the 400 is the most reliable and well-balanced choice overall.

Candido 800 (Night Scenes, Bars, Overcast Sky, Evenings)
If you’re looking for just one reliable roll that works effortlessly from morning to night—your everyday, all-day shooter—the 400 is more than enough.
But if you really want to unlock the true character and full potential of Candido, push it to 800.
The grain becomes very prominent and noticeable, but it's not that cheap, messy, low-quality grain—it's the kind of rich, characterful texture reminiscent of vintage / nostalgic movies.
The colors shift slightly toward a cooler tone, the shadows deepen noticeably, and those shadows aren't crushed to pure dead black—instead, they're rich deep gray-blue with retained detail and nuance.
